Hand-carved from dense African hardwood and finished to a deep, natural sheen, this is the traditional long-range weapon carried by Zulu warriors from the age of Shaka onward.

Unlike mass-produced “decorative” clubs, each Iwisa is individually crafted by South African artisans using historically faithful designs. The solid spherical head is shaped from a single piece of hardwood, perfectly balanced for throwing or close combat — just as the Nguni and Zulu peoples intended.

The Iwisa served many roles: a battlefield side-arm, a long-range projectile weapon, a symbol of leadership, and even an everyday walking stick during times of peace. Today, it stands as an unmistakable icon of Southern African culture and warrior tradition.
